The Hoxton, Paris
Bonjour The Hoxton, Paris! The decadently-stylish Hoxton in Paris has opened its doors on Rue du Sentier in the city's 2nd arrondissement — within easy reach of Jardin des Tuileries; Le Louvre; and the cobbled streets of Le Marais. Set in an 18th-century mansion, the new hotel has 172 bedrooms set over five palatial floors, a modern French brasserie, bar, and two courtyards to escape the capital’s hordes.
Revel in the grandeur of contemporary hipness in the splendid public spaces designed by Soho House: inside the double-height lobby—which is is actually a courtyard joining the three different buildings of the hotel together—you’ll find one of the 300-year old stunning spiral staircases, which have been lovingly restored to a highly Instagrammable standard.
Make sure you get a picture of the jewel-toned velvet armchairs and sofas – particularly the fringe detailing. Part of the lobby you'll find the Winter Garden, a living wall of foliage alongside more sumptuous seating begging to be sunken into. At the chic French brasserie Riviè, feast on French classics like Monsieur and Entrecote with frite in cosy banquette seating. And when all is said and done, head to the sumptuos and exotic Jacques’ Bar, which is named after the French painter who also designed the iconic Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech, There’s floral wallpaper, millennial pink pouffes, mustard yellow velvet sofas and tasselled lampshades all vying for your attention. You’ll be quaffing Moroccan-inspired cocktails from the experts behind Paris bars’ Candelaria.
