Jade Jagger
Jewelry Designer

As the daughter of two cultural icons, Jade Jagger has toured the world with a gypsy lifestyle thanks to her legendary father, Mick, and her sophisticated Nicaraguan model mother, Bianca.  And of course, she herself has developed a distinct sense of style: be it fashion or interior designing, Jade's passion for colors and textures most definitely shines through in her refined taste.  Exhibit A: "The Baglioni" Marrakech, a truly spectacular fifteen private resort-style homes designed by Jade. Exhibit B: "Can Rocas" Ibiza, Jade's white villa haven that she's relocated to.

And finally, Exhibit C: Her namesake jewelry line. Let's just say we are just as obsessed as she is with her Never-Ending collection that's inspired by Formentera. (Bring on the pink opals and the to-die-for green chrysophase!)

  • VacationStyle: What is it about Formentera that you love?

Jade Jagger: I have been visiting Formentera since I started going to Ibiza in 2000. It has a special feeling as it's so isolated, like a world of its own. It is magical and beautiful with perfect sand and sparkling beaches leaving you with a total feeling of relaxation. I kept visiting until we bought a house there!

  • VS: What about Formentera inspires you most?

JJ: The colours in Formentera are so beautiful. The turquoise of sea is like the Caribbean, the most perfect beaches in the world, and the 60s and 70s style is still very influential there. I am always inspired by these eras and my Never-Ending collection has many elements that I have taken from there.

  • VS: What are some of your favorite hidden gems?

JJ: I love to go walking in Formentera and up by the lighthouse in Es Moli. The views from there down the island and on to Es Vedra are breathtaking. For an authentic drink, Fonda Pepe in Sant Ferran is perfect, 10.7 in Playa Migjorn is a delicious restaurant that has local classics and exceptional sushi, and all the little chiringuitos around the island are wonderful to find if you walk up and down the beaches.

  • VS: What are your favorite things to do while there?

JJ: I love to go out on the local yauk wooden boats with friends and enjoy the coastline. We also love paddle boarding its such a great way to enjoy the sea and get fit.

  • VS: How would you describe your VacationStyle?

JJ: It's so relaxed in Formentera that I often spend my days in a perfect one piece by Dolce & Gabbana or Lanvin with simple shorts so I’m always ready for a swim. In the evening, a hippie dress that I have made in India or a kaftan are my perfect go-tos. I love pairing them with some sparkly sandals for an extra bit of glamour.

  • VS: What’s your favorite piece or collection you’ve designed?

JJ: I'm loving my new diamond collection, all the pieces are so timeless and always make me feel like woman. The Triangulum Drop Earrings or Stellar Cuff are my favorites.

  • VS: As you’re also an amazing interior designer, are there certain styles of a hotel you are drawn to?

JJ: I love a classic hotel like Claridge's in London, The Mercer in New York, and Taj Mahal Palace, Colaba in Mumbai. I also love to explore boutique hotels around the world like Narain Niwas Palace in Jaipur.
