Up All Night
In Collaboration with Mr & Mrs Smith
Guys, we're totally with John Travolta on his 'Summer Nights' train. The lyrics, as we all probably can remember, went something along the lines of: "Summer days drifting away to oh oh the summer nights..."
So whether your partial to starlit massages, midnight feasting or a bit of dance-floor decadence – from dusk til dawn – Mr & Mrs Smith have you covered with the hottest places to celebrate post-sundowner hours. In their latest 'Up All Night' collection, there is a ton of inspiration of where to stay post-sundowner hours. Hence, we have your #VacationStyle covered with what to wear if you're #UpAllNight in Torres Vedras, Barcelona, or Santorini...
Just an hour from Lisbon on Portugal's Costa de Prata, Torres Vedras doesn't stop when the sun goes down. Take an evening stroll on the beach, dine on fresh mussels and make friends at Aerais do Seixo's twice-weekly late-night bonfire soirées, where guests gather for convivial nibbles, traditional folk music and local wine. This lively hotel also hosts nightly sessions on the terrace or by the pond: port and stories flow freely. Dine & drink late into the night and watch a movie on the big screen at anytime in the 7th Art Room. Come dawn, go for a surf sesh on Praia do Seixo.
— POST-SUNDOWN PAJAMAS —
Forget the rich history, in no other city will you find not one, or two, but thirteen Michelen-starred restaurants. In the Catalan capital, get your feet ready to dance the through the night and post-game at BeCool or Macarena (the biggest after-dark draws) where there will be no eggs and bacon, instead, expect copius cava and copious jamón. Get your fix at Can Paixano (La Xampañería, to locals), a cava and tapas bar set in a former warehouse on Carrer de la Reina Cristina. From wee hours of daylight til night, drinkers are crammed cheek-by-jowl beneath a ham-strung ceiling: it’s cosy, it’s convivial, it’s short on seats, and it makes toast and cereal look lazy.
— SUNDOWNER SPANISH FLARE —
Sunsets are good, but so are cocktails. Once you’ve admired the molten sun’s daily dip into the water from your preferred perch (tip: stay in Oia and you’ll have front-row seats), hit the island’s nightspots. Tango Bar in Thira serves up the obligatory caldera views as well as some saucy libations, including apple-caramel martinis and strawberry-and-vodka ‘lollipops’. Latenight revellers should head to Casablanca Soul Bar, which hosts international DJs spinning everything from soul and jazz to house and electro.
