LINES TO SUPPORT: FASHION BRANDS THAT GIVE BACK

It's one thing to shop for a good cause, but it's even better when a brand itself is wholely embedded in philanthropy.  From providing employment opportunities to promising profit donations and to ultimately, raising awareness, here are 6 fashion brands making a difference (and that we love, too)!

- TRUSS -

Truss is the creative project of Elise Durbecq and Gillian Tozer who partner with a group of weavers in Oaxaca, Mexico to produce custom bags. Of all the regions in Mexico, Oaxaca is known as the most vibrant of them all. Rich with cultural traditions and knowledge, each small town possesses a different and unique artisanal trade from the next with one theme remaining consistent—the colors.

Beyond quality and design, Truss values the preservation and growth of Oaxaca’s artisanal trade. The endemic skillset of these artisans is not only rare but imperative in keeping these communities afloat. With this in mind, a percentage of the profits will aid in the support of Oaxacan communities.

- THE BRAVE COLLECTION -

The Brave Collection is a jewelry line handmade in Cambodia by local artisans to celebrate Bravery and empower women across the globe. 10% of profits is donated to human trafficking through creative opportunity.

There is so much to love about The Brave Collection.  The bracelets not only provide jobs to local Cambodian artisans and direct funds to anti-trafficking foundations, but the pieces themselves also exist to expose the abuse of Cambodian women.

"By employing traditional weavers, we’re trying to break their cycle of poverty, at the same time preserving the art of weaving while creating modern, casual, comfortable stuff that we really want to wear." - Liya Kebede
