Dreaming of Spring 2016

As winter has set in, we find ourselves perusing the Spring/Summer 2016 Collections on a day-by-day basis (seven hours no less).  We can offically say, we surrender - these six designers have given us major inspo for our next exotic getaways.   See six of our favorite spring 2016 campaigns with six even dreamier destinations and a #VacationStyle stamp of approval. We dare you to try to not get too distracted!

THE CAMPAIGN

"Our emotions about African culture, the idea of beauty achieved by the interaction of different cultures, the idea of tolerance, this is the message we wanted to deliver. That's why we wanted to shoot in Africa with Steve McCurry. He's not a fashion photographer; he's a culture reporter... we wanted to shoot not a fashion vision [of Africa], but more of a cultural vision — and not in a studio with an elephant." — Pierpaolo Piccioli, Creative Director

"The idea of these pictures is to take the viewer on a journey. The clothes are inspired by motifs, [so] to take the shoot to Africa and show how these things interact and, this connection of the clothes, the models, the environment, the local people; it was a great endeavor." — Steve McCurry, Photographer

THE CAMPAIGN

“This campaign is very exciting for me because I really wanted to create a new energy for Chloé this season. Theo is a photographer I have worked with several times before and I really appreciate his youthful eye and spontaneity behind the lens. I also wanted to bring new faces to Chloé as they represent a more adventurous, free-spirited, impulsive side of the Chloé girl.” — Clare Waight Keller, Chloé Creative Director

THE CAMPAIGN

“This is a catalog about wanderlust, traveling far and wide to find beauty.” — Doub Hanshaw, Creative Director

“My favorite moment in Chefchaouen was shooting the sunset from a rooftop overlooking the entire blue city — the light was incredible.  Every winding staircase we climbed revealed another breathtaking vista — the intricately carved wood details and colorful tile throughout the city was unlike anything.”  — Coryn Madley, Stylist

The Sahara, the camels, the people living in the desert… it was other worldly! To see the Berber men walking in the desert, while wearing their deep blue Jhalabas and leading a pack of camels was beautiful and at the same time completely timeless.” — Doub Hanshaw
