WEAR TO WHERE
THE WORKOUT EDITION
The feeling of fitting in is all too familiar when it comes to trying new workout classes. We are a little excited, a little nervous, and are definitely praying to the workout gods that we don't die in the process.
Besides wanting to look the part, there are many reasons why we believe suiting up to get sweaty is worth it (or more than just distracting the instructor we're totally crushing on with our printed pants...). Dressing up to work out keeps us motivated, conceals what should not be revealed, boosts our confidence when we take to that hour of pure pain, and is absolutely appropriate to transition into our normal day (on the weekends, that is.)
As the industry likes to call it - athleisure - clothes that take us to more than just the gym and are appropriate for leisure lunches after the fact (aka no shower after a workout? no problem!). Here's a few of our favorite workouts and what to wear - that's half the battle!
DANCING FOR DAYS
Broadway Bodies, New York // Get your Beyonce body by learning the moves to a top single. You don't have to ask us twice to channel our inner Queen Bey.
Body By Simone, New York & Los Angeles // The dance cardio class is one of our favorites, and we're signed up to try the trampoline cardio! Who else is jumping for cardio?!?!
POWER SWEAT SESH
SoulCycle, Multiple Locations // A 45-minute party on a bike while riding to the beat. There must be something in the smartwater that feeds a cult following. We're always up for showering in our sweat for soul. #EatSleepSoulRepeat
SLT, New York // Strength, Lengthen, Tone. No matter how many times we go, every muscle in our body seems to shake while we do pilates on the mega-reformer. Hands-down one of the best full-body workouts in the game.
Soho House, Chicago // 17,000 square feet of envious interior design could easily distract us during a boxing sesh. Just watch where we hit, we're doomed to miss.
Shadowbox, New York City // A private sesh takes you to the signature vintage boxing ring for our model training, but boxing with your best bishes in a dimly lit studio isn't half bad either.
Aqua Studio, New York // The most spa-esque spin you could get. It’s like spinning and yoga at the same time.
Paddle Boarding at The Standard Hotel, Miami Beach // Build balance with a surface-water workout that definitely will challenge your core. a workout while we tan... duh, we're in!
